چکیده

The clear definition of a metamodel can be considered helpful for any conceptual modeling approach, and the i* framework is not an exception. Agreeing on a metamodel for i* can be considered even more convenient than ever when we are aware of the different dialects and variations that the community proposed, and keep proposing, over the seminal i* definition. In this paper we present the revised version of the i* metamodel proposed by the GESSI research group at 2005 and we report some current contexts of use: 1) definition of a data interchange format; 2) definition of the inheritance construct; 3) definition of a modularity construct; and 4) definition of a metrics framework.

An Improved N-dimensional NURBs-based Metamodel

Non Uniform Rational B-splines (NURBs) are proved to be very promising for metamodeling in engineering problems, because they have unique properties such as local modification scheme, strong convex hull property, and infinitely differentiability, etc. Since NURBs are defined by control points, knot vector, and weights associated with control points, the precision of NURBs is influenced by all o...

Flattening the Metamodel for Object Databases

A metamodel definition presents some important issues in the construction of an object database management system, whose rich data model inevitably increases the metamodel complexity. The required features of an object database metamodel are investigated. Roles of a metamodel in an objectoriented database management system are presented and compared to the proposal defined in the ODMG standard ...

Business Processes Definition Metamodel Concepts and Overview

This paper defines the fundamental concepts, key elements, and semantics of a metamodel that is being proposed as a response to the OMG's RFP for a Business Process Definition Metamodel [BPDM]. It also introduces notations that allow to view a process model at varying levels of detail, while maintaining consistency with the underlying model and semantics. A formal definition of the metamodel an...
